ABOUT THE IBOGA QUEEN PROJECT
As explained by Survival International, indigenous cultures worldwide are threatened with extinction due to the encroachment of "civilization."
In Africa, one of the oldest cultures which still, in some parts, retains its ancestral forest mode of life, is known as the Pygmies (though the word is often used derogatorily, since it refers to their smaller size, there is not one better term which can replace it, since each group of Pygmies has its own name). While it may seem that the modern world has infinite knowledge to impart upon primitives, in fact, it is the so-called primitives which have an immense amount of inherited wisdom that the modern world has lost. Wisdom about living in harmony with nature. Wisdom about living happily with little. Wisdom about the value of remaining human in a world that is turning towards technocratic transhumanism.
When one first meets the true Pygmies, it is like some truth is unlocked within them about what it really means to belong to the human family, without wearing all the masks of modern society. After that glimpse, there remains a desire to fully realize what these people know about life, and to share that with the rest of the world. Interestingly, there is evidence that the Pygmy culture is the origin of all human language and culture, including the biblical myth of the Garden of Eden.
The mission of IbogaQueen is to promote the preservation of Pygmy culture, and spexifically the Bwiti spirituality that the Pygmies have gifted to humanity.
